The tabla Maestro Zakir Hussain visited the City yesterday for inaugurating a painting exhibition by Sridhar. Sridhar is an ardent fan of the maestro and had arranged for an exhibition in Chennai titled 'Zakir Hussain in my dreams.' The came all the way to Chennai to inaugurate the meaningful exhibition at the Park Sheraton. "When Sridhar invited me to this exhibition, I thought that very few art lovers might attend this event. But I'm amazed to see the response from the people. I have always been a great lover of Sridhar's work. I am sure Sridhar's fame will reach greater heights," said Zakir.
Zakir's words gave a new glow of joy to Sridhar's face that is seldom caught in paintings using a brush. Ghatam artist Vikku Vinayakram, veteran director K.Balachander and others also participated in the function. Nikil Murugan arranged the event in his usual professional way.
